The lady behind the lens...  |
Obsessive is the only appropriate term in addressing my love affair with photography. In my youth, I began taking pictures as a way of coveting the fleeting beauty around me. It became an extension of memory and a way to possess all of the moments and revisit them at will. As I developed into an even more sentimental creature, I aimed to capture emotion and love in an image...and that is still my life’s pursuit. Obviously, my arsenal of gear has expanded from the 110mm camera I started shooting with over 20 years ago, but my fanatical enthusiasm has remained unchanged. |
After receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Photography, I continued working in the fine art world as an artist and consultant. While I enjoyed it greatly, I very much felt a void in my daily routine that was only satified with camera in hand. At that point, I left the gallery to pursue photography full time. More than six years later, I am even deeper in love with my work. Not only am I blessed to make a living with my passion, but I also get to spend my days surrounded by music, love, life, and growing families. My career as a photographer has taken me on countless adventures, taken me all over the world, and given me priceless friendships. I look forward to travelling on many new roads and meeting many new faces! Hopefully I will be meeting you and photographing your story soon........ |
